R&D teams of many disciplines use digital image processing for their research projects. Either to develop new machine vision applications or to collect and analyse data. For example, AVT cameras are used to document the evolution of ecosystems, to observe astronomical phenomena or to track eye movements for psychology or ergonomics research. Machine vision can also help develop new green energies such as solar power.
