The AVT Saga (2000-2001): A new start for the new century Manfred Sticksel CCD-Kameratechnik becomes Allied Vision Technologies

At the verge of a new century, founder Manfred Sticksel decided to retire and sell his company. After a successful start, the new owners are tasked with leading business into the 21st century and the digital era. The new owners are Augusta Technologie AG, a public holding company that specializes in acquiring and growing small and medium-sized technology businesses. Augusta acquired 100% of Sticksel’s shares and completely redefined the company’s strategy. The new vision was to have the company become a leading camera manufacturer; a different direction from its distributor and OEM manufacturing business. AVT to Showcase the New Goldeye SWIR Camera and give Presentation on Infrared Imaging at The Vision Show 2014

Allied Vision Technologies will be exhibiting at The AIA Vision Show from April 15-17 in Boston, Massachusetts. Mako Camera Powers Audi Mind Race

###YOUTUBEVIDEO### The Audi Mind Race is a technological challenge, which features Audi R18 e-tron (1:24) miniature cars, which FC Barcelona players moved through their own mind, as the energy generated by the players' brains powered the vehicles. A vision system using a Mako G-223B camera by Allied Vision Technologies gathered and analyzed image data to produce real-time statistics and audio-visual effects that were projected onto the circuit.The Mako G-223B camera with Gigabit Ethernet interface was provided by Infaimon, AVT's official distributor in Spain.See pictures of the installation on Infaimon’s blog (in Spanish)
