Head of Allied Vision Technologies Inc. is new President of the Automated Imaging Association.

Michael Cyros, Head of Allied Vision Technologies Inc., has been elected President of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) in 2008.

Mike Cyros is serving his third term as a member of the Board of AIA. This respected machine vision expert has worked in the vision and imaging industry since 1987 and joined Allied Vision Technologies in the fall of 2005 to create Allied Vision Technologies Inc., the US subsidiary of the company with headquarters in Newburyport, MA. The company’s mission is business development, marketing, sales and technical support of AVT cameras in the North and South American markets.

“I am very honored by the confidence the AIA board members showed in appointing me as their President”, he commented. “I look forward to working with the board at further promoting the machine vision industry and serving the membership. I will do my best to increase the passion about our industry, while at the same time promoting the exploration and discovery of new opportunities in our changing market”.
