28.11.07AVT FirePackage v2.8.1 with significant Universal API update!

This release again provides a functional extension of the UniAPI.

In conjunction with the continuous expansion of the user-friendly AVT FirePackage, AVT provides with the release of version 2.8.1 the third release of its new application programming interface (API) the Universal API, or UniAPI for short.

The recent version of the UniAPI contains again important functional extensions and improvements. Basically this programming interface consists of two modules, which are available as Dynamic Link Library (DLL):

1. UniTransform Module – this UniAPI component allows the conversion of image formats and the transaction of color correction

2. UniControl Module – this module provides methods to control the camera and to easily apply its SmartFeatures, as well as to grab images.

Additionally, a .Net wrapper is provided for the complete UniAPI.

Due to simple intuitive function names and uniform parameter calls the UniAPI offers substantial simplifications in the area of handling. In addition, the API provides a comprehensive set of functions, which lead to a substantial reduction and simplification of the program code.

Functional Improvements
- Stingray support for test issues
- Update of the UniAPI modules inclusive corresponding .NET wrapper
- Update of the test and configuration tool SmartView
- Added new FireGrab examples (DMA transfer, Deferred mode)
