AVT Direct Stream Package
The AVT Direct Stream Package focuses on DirectShow- and COM-based application development. Besides that, it includes a DirectShow compatible StreamClass driver, so that AVT 1394 cameras can be operated with any DirectShow compatible imaging software.
The streaming driver is based on the Windows Driver Model (WDM). It controls the acquisition and the transport of the image data stream with system mode (kernel mode) and thus supports plug & play of AVT 1394a/b cameras.

The package includes the following components:

• WDM kernel mode StreamClass driver
• Property pages for special AVT camera features
• COM programming interface for AVT camera features
• High-performance image mode transformation filter
• AVT AmCap, a modified version of the DirectShow standard viewer provided by Microsoft. This C++ example can be used as basis for your own imaging solutions
• Software manual

The AVT Direct Stream Package is the successor of the AVT Direct Fire Package (DFP). The migration from DFP based solutions to the AVT Direct Stream Package is rather easy to handle.
