The MathWorks is the leading developer and supplier of software for technical computing and Model-Based Design.

Software interfacing with AVT cameras
The software solutions MATLAB and Simulink along with Image Acquisition Toolbox, Image Processing Toolbox, and Video and Image Processing Blockset provide a flexible environment for solving complex imaging problems in a wide range of applications including scientific imaging, medicine and biotechnology, aerospace and defense, security, and machine vision.

MATLAB enables users to perform algorithm development, data visualization and analysis, and numeric computation in a range of applications from signal processing to computational biology. Simulink provides an environment to incorporate MATLAB code, block-diagrams, and state charts for simulating dynamic systems and designing algorithms for embedded hardware.

The Image Acquisition Toolbox enables users to acquire images and video directly from cameras into MATLAB and Simulink for image and video processing applications.  It supports a wide variety of standards and interfaces with both graphical tools and command-line functionality that enable the development of custom image acquisition and processing applications.  Using MathWorks tools, these can then be compiled into standalone applications for distribution or integrated into embedded systems such as DSPs and FPGAs.

AVT Adaptor for MATLAB Image Acquisition

The AVT Adaptor for MATLAB Image Acquisition can be used to access all features of AVT's high-performance IEEE 1394 FireWire and GigE Vision compliant digital cameras from within the MATLAB and Simulink environments.
The AVT Adaptor for MATLAB Image Acquisition is based on AVT’s interface-independent UniAPI provided with the AVT Universal Package and can easily be installed via an installer executable. The adaptor can be used together with the Image Acquisition Toolbox and enables AVT camera users to access more camera features than available through open standards. Therewith, MATLAB and Simulink users can go further in leveraging AVT cameras to solve image processing tasks.
