Stingray with Removed Cover Glass (RCG) sensor option
Allied Vision Technologies adds a new option in the Stingray Modular Concept range: Removed Cover Glass (RCG).
This option consists in removing the CCD sensor’s cover glass, which is requested for applications such as laser beam profiling or endoscopy, where fiber optics are put directly on the sensor.
Without glass cover the sensor is very exposed and has to be protected very carefully against electrostatic discharge, humidity and dust.
As protection in shipment a special adhesive foil is used, which has to be removed before using the camera.
The RCG option should only be used for applications that really require removal of the cover glass and meet the specific handling requirements of the camera and its sensor. Please refer to the AVT Modular Concept document or contact Customer Care for more information.
