The Automated Imaging Association (AIA) organized a “Gige Vision Plugfest” of Gigabit Ethernet cameras after the Vision Show held in Boston, MA from May 25-27, 2010.
The aim of the test was to check the compliance of the camera interface to the current GigE Vision standard and to perform interoperability tests between different GigE Vision vendors.
All AVT cameras with Gigabit Ethernet interface successfully passed the tests and are now AIA-certified: Manta, Prosilica GC, Prosilica GE, Prosilica GB, Prosilica GS and the Prosilica GX with Link Aggregation Group technology (240 MB/s).
“We did not expect another result than this one, but it is an independent demonstration that our high-performance Gigabit Ethernet cameras with optimized bandwidth, including the new Manta family and the double-speed Prosilica GX, are fully compliant to the standard”, said Ingo Lewerendt, Director of Product Management of Allied Vision Technologies.
