It began in 1989: with the founding, the company realized the industry’s increasing need for professional image technology for industrial production early on. They had a clear goal in sight: the image processing market would receive the entire spectrum of "front-ends" – cameras including electric and mechanical modifications, objectives and accessories, lighting as well as a wide range of client-specific and standard cables.
Today Allied Vision Technologies is one of the most important developers and manufacturers in the camera and component field for industrial image processing as well as a valued partner when it comes to application oriented modifications and customizations.
Programmed for growth.
With the renaming to Allied Vision Technologies at the end of 2001, a lot more has happened than just a name change. With entry into the Augusta Technologie AG business body, the strategy for further growth has been established. With more than 50 employees, Allied Vision Technologies counts as one of the biggest companies in the field of vision inspection. Cameras and a wide variety of accessories are developed, produced and distributed at Stadtroda and Ahrensburg by Allied Vision Technologies.
Development, modification and customization of cameras.
As one of the biggest manufacturers on this market, AVT supplies high-end cameras and components for science, medicine technology, the producing industry, machine manufacturers, system integrators, image processors and dealers. Additionally, AVT is well-known for modifications and customized casings, optics, lighting and cables.
Highly qualified development and application engineers as well as qualified optoelectronic experts rely on a unique know-how when it comes to individual solutions and applications for clients. The experience gained by the development and production of thousands of cameras form the base of the development of digital cameras.
More than 20 000 cameras for use in industrial image processing were produced at Allied Vision Technologies in Stadtroda in the year 2000 alone. A large portion of this consists of made-to-order cameras for one of the world’s largest manufacturers of chip-mounting machines. In 2002 we presented the first digital megapixel cameras with Firewire technology of the Allied Vision Technologies brand. Once one has decided on the benefits of digital image transfers, one can’t overlook the Firewire cameras of the AVT camera series.
