AVT Software - Abstract

Fire to Software!
AVT has specialized in digital cameras with IEEE1394 interfaces. While all AVT cameras are DCAM standard compliant, each AVT camera family offers many more functions than specified in the IIDC (1.30 and 1.31) standards of the 1394TA. These so called AVT SmartFeatures are accessible via direct register access, or by using special functions provided in the different AVT software packages.

All software packages provided by AVT are free of charge and contain the following components:

  • the required drivers to integrate the cameras into your system
  • a driver insatllation tool
  • a Software development kit (SDK) for camera control and image acquisition
  • examples based on the provided APIs of the SDK
  • comprehensive documentation and release notes
  • an all-embracing viewer application to operate and configure the cameras – use this tool to conveniently access and test the SmartFeatures of a Marlin, Dolphin, Oscar, Guppy, Pike or Stingray camera!

You may choose between:

AVT FirePackage
