Canadian TV network Global TV reported on November 19, 2009 in its British Columbia Evening News that Microsoft is currently capturing images of major North American cities using AVT Gigabit Ethernet cameras to offer a competitive service to Google Maps’ StreetView on its Bing Maps platform.

Vision Systems Design’s video coverage of the Vision show in Stuttgart features a five-minute report on Allied Vision Technologies’ booth. The video focuses on two product highlights of the show: the Prosilica GX series, the fastest GigE camera in the world, and the Guppy Pro, the world’s smallest IEEE1394b machine vision camera.
